My story starts back when I was nine years old, when my older sister started taking computer science at Clemson University and brought home a "Teach Yourself C in 21 Days" book.
She only took computer science for about a year and then switched her major. However, having an interest in game design,
I picked up the book she left behind and started studying it. Sure, I didn't understand how to write programs and games immediately,
but after a few years of playing with a few different languages, code samples, and open source projects, I slowly adapted the mindset of a programmer.
I started writing games and applications for fun, and sometimes I could even make a little money doing it.
It wasn't until a little later in my life that I began to take software development seriously. Eventually I decided to get a degree in
computer programming to see if I could make a career out of my hobby, and maybe one day start and grow a business of my own doing web and application development.
